‘I KNEW he did it’: Caitlyn Jenner says OJ Simpson was guilty and reveals Kim and Kourtney struggled with their dad defending the man accused of killing their mom’s best friend Nicole Brown
‘I know he did it. It was three people at the crime scene – pick a murderer. How hard is that?’ said Caitlyn in an interview with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM channel Radio Andy, referencing the fact that the only DNA found at the scene belong to Brown, Goldman and Simpson.
She went on to say that Kris was also on her side in believing Simpson was responsible for the brutal murder of Nicole, a stance that made things incredibly difficult for her oldest daughters Kourtney and Kim.
‘The hard part during that trial was mostly Kourtney and Kimberly because they were a little bit older [than siblings Khloe and Rob Jr.] and their dad, who they love and adore – which they should – is on one side and we’re on the other,’ explained Caitlyn.
In her memoir, Caitlyn writes that Kim and Kourtney took their dad’s side during the ‘trial of the century,’ placing themselves firmly in the small camp of people who believed that Simpson was innocent .
The struggle is real: The trial was hardest on the two oldest Kardashian daughters according to Caitlyn, Kourtney and Kim, who were 16 and 14 when Simpson was acquitted (Kourtney, Kim and Khloe with their dad in the late 1980s)
In her interview with Cohen however, Caitlyn had nothing but praise for Robert, saying: ‘Robert was a very good person. I really liked Robert. Robert and I had a very good relationship.
‘He was a very good parent. He was great with the kids. We discussed things with the kids, about the kids. We went to basketball games with little Robert together.
‘He was a really good guy, and it’s unfortunate that he got sick and passed away. So unfortunate for the kids.’
Robert died of cancer in 2003, just eight years after Simpson was acquitted.
Even that trial did not mange to divide the family as Caitlyn’s book however, which in the days since its release has managed to cause a major and perhaps irreparable fracture in her relationship with ex-wife Kris.
While speaking with Cohen, Caitlyn revealed that Kris called her this week to say thet she would never speak to her again in response to revelations which were made in the book.
‘I said, “OK. That’s fine.” said Caitlyn of her response to Kris’ news.
‘I move on. Is it sad? Of course it is. But I have no problem with Kris. If that’s the way she feels, that’s the way she feels.’
Caitlyn then added: ‘My book is honest and it’s my story. I just don’t want her to alienate me from my children.’
The two are parents to adult daughters Kylie and Kendall, whose middle name is Nicole in honor of her mother’s best friend.
Caitlyn also revealed in her interview with Cohen that she has not spoken to her stepdaughter Khloe for two years.
That split seems to be a bit more difficult for Caitlyn to cope with however, especially after Khloe called her a liar in an interview with Howard Stern.
‘She doesn’t want to talk to me. She hasn’t talked to me in, like, two years,’dsid Caitlyn.
‘That’s sad. I was very very close to Khloe, I mean I had 23 years of raising her. I met Khloe when she was 5-years-old.’
She then spoke about the Stern incident and Jhloe’s comments about how caitlyn misled them and was never fully honest, saying: ‘Of course it hurts. Cause she was on Howard Stern and called me a liar.
‘And that kind of pissed me off too cause I never lied to her, you know, if I didn’t tell her everything. First of all, she never asked.’
